I have a small sawmill. I cut logs to lumber for my cabinet business , and for sale.
I have rough sawn 3/4" thickness black walnut boards. They are 4 and 1/2 foot (roughly) in length. They are maybe 6 to 8 inch wide, without bark.
There are 20 or 25 nice small, short boards in this batch. Most are 3/4" thickness. A few are 6/4" thickness.
With and without bark. They all probably show some sapwood. I can use them with sapwood or not. It just depends on my project.
These logs were cut last winter. The wood is still wet. For sale now if you want to dry it yourself and use it. Keep watching for my ads. I have more logs to mill.
