3/4" rough sawn walnut lumber. 6 to 10 inch wide. The walnut tree was cut about 5 years ago. The log laid in the woods, in the shade to dry. The log was dry and had ants. My 8 foot boards come from the second biggest log. That was the one with the ant nest. My 10 foot boards come from the butt log. There is little to no ant damage.
Pictured are boards from two logs. The 8 foot log , I used a lot of water when cutting. The 10 foot log i cut dry to show the wood grain better. The 8 footers are wet in the pictures with lots of sawdust sticking to the boards.
An average, good board will be in the $20 to $40 dollar range. Really nice $50. Short and defect board bundles starting at $20.
