A new twist on the classic tale! Cam Harrison, a young journalist travels with his ailing niece, Elle, to Mississippi in search of the magical healing potion that has been sweeping the nation. In his journey he discovers a traveling circus claiming to have a real live Mermaid. Intrigued by what could be, but filled with suspicion over the Mermaid's validity, Cam travels to the circus where they discover not only that the Mermaid is real, but that she is being held captive by the evil circus leader, Locke, as she is the key behind the magical potion. Cam and Elle develop a growing friendship with the Mermaid and a plan to free her. But in order to do so, they must figure out how to get past Locke and his evil sidekick.
